EASTON'S FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY

Easton had such a great birthday.  The festivities lasted about a week long.  Celebrating on his birthday we went out for pizza where he tried his first piece of pizza.  We went to the pizza place that Casey and I were eating at when we came up with his name when I was pregnant.  After pizza we went home to have his first taste of cake.  I made a pumpkin spice cake with vegan cream cheese icing.  I saved the first taste of a "real cake" as some say for the birthday party.  He loved the pumpkin cake and you'll see further down how he felt about the "real cake".

We decided to do a baseball theme party, who knows if he even likes baseball but we think he does.  Baseball runs in our family, his name was inspired by baseball and we'd like to think he will play it someday, but that's totally his choice.

We couldn't believe we were celebrating his first birthday.  My mom flew into town to celebrate and helped us put together his first birthday party.  Our friends all came over and helped us celebrate.  We were filled with love and such great friendships.  It couldn't have been a better day.  My only worries that day were when to feed him dinner, if he was lost walking around all of these taller people and what time I should do the cake, not knowing if he'd dive in and need a bath right away.  In this case he wasn't very interested in it.  A wonderful week of celebrating his first year, us getting through it together and cherishing every single moment.

Great recipe idea, Ang. Looks like a beautiful celebration. Wishing you many more!
