postpartum yoga

























Last week was a great week for us, many new adventures with Easton and I returned to Yoga for the first time since the beginning of my third trimester.  Muscle memory is amazing; I loved how my body fell back into sun salutations.  My mind, body and soul felt as they went back home to a very familiar place, well not 100% familiar.  My core was saying, what's this? where am I supposed to be? Hey I'm still on vacation, hold on...  I could not believe how much core strength I use on a daily bases and in Yoga.  It will take sometime and patience for my core to naturally come back into place, the pregnant body goes through so much change during and after pregnancy.  I've started a daily exercise routine of stretches my chiropractor gave me with a small 10 min. yoga session and an afternoon walk.  Giving it time and listening to my body has been one of many lessons I've learned throughout the past few weeks.
