I feel so bad that I am down to blogging a couple times a week. I admit I was one day late on posting my intention and didn't even blog about friday favorites. When I worked at my desk job I often had time to write in the morning before work or at lunch. That was my blogging time. Now I wake up usually take a morning class, head into the showroom to paint, clean, or decorate to prepare for the grand opening. By the time I leave the showroom, we take another class and then I am home to cook dinner and jump on the computer to catch up on emails. It's a bit of a change in my life, but it's such a good change for me. I love being able to experience all of the classes that I am taking, and to meet all of the wonderful instructors in our community. I'm enjoying my team and getting to know them better. Last week we pulled some pretty late nights painting and all of our silly sides came out, that's always fun! Last week I also accomplished a goal of mine. I shot our Ambassador photo shoot. It was an amazing experience taking pictures of yogi's in settings all around town. One of the days I was walking to work with my camera in one hand and a yoga mat in the other. I instantly started to smile, I stopped and took a moment to realize I was doing two things that I love. Our grand opening is in a week and a half and we are getting ready. As I am adjusting to this new work schedule I am finding time to catch up on my favorite blogs in the early morning or late at night. I hope once the showroom opens I'll have more time to sit down in the mornings with a hot cup of joe and blog. When do you blog? I would love to hear how you plan your blogging time around your career, kids, family life, activities etc.
In the meantime enjoy these photos of us working hard getting the showroom ready!

Camp Moomba Yogathon & Blissfest
I am so excited to help promote the 8th Annual Camp Moomba Yogathon and Blissfest! Thousands of yogis are going to come together to raise awareness and funds for children impacted by HIV/AIDS. The funds raised from this event will help send a child to summer camp for the experience of a lifetime. The festival is taking place this weekend Saturday, July 24, 2010 at UBC MacInnes Field, Vancouver, BC. Gates open at 8:30am. For more information click here. I wish I could be there to participate, it's for a good cause and it will be such a beautiful summer day in Vancouver to do yoga outside.

a friday afternoon
Breathing, relaxing, laughing and enjoying my Friday afternoon. We flew into Colorado on Wednesday evening and have been surrounded by family and friends celebrating and getting ready for my brother-in-law's wedding this evening. This morning we went on a hike with the bride to-be and some of our family from out of town. Last night was a fun rehearsal dinner and karaoke at the corner pub. I am enjoying the dry air and mountain views. The evenings have a slight chill in the air and the stars are shinning so bright. I tend to think a lot when I come back to Colorado. I think about when I first moved here on my own. The adventures I've shared in the mountains. The people I've met and grown so close to. My heart still breaks a little bit when I look up at Long's Peak, my favorite mountain in Colorado. Casey and I got married right in front of it four years ago last Wednesday. The beauty here is unexplainable, being in the mountains today let my soul connect to the earth. I feel so much earth energy here, with every step, breath and feeling I have here. On Thursday I spent the morning in Boulder with family. I also was able to see my friend Nancy for a little bit, we were able to connect and talk a bit while we sat within nature. I truly felt the earth energy connection and best of all the soul connection that Nancy and I share. She is an amazing woman who I admire as a mother, wife and friend. Casey's cousin Gina joined us as we talked, took pictures and enjoyed the river flowing by. Gina is moving to Africa in two weeks and will be there for a year. I am so excited for her, and I hope that I'll be able to make it out to visit. So far the trip has been relaxing. I am so excited for my brother-in-law as he is marrying an amazing girl who has lifted his spirit and has brought so much joy into his life. I am excited to have her as a sister-in-law. It will be such a great gathering this evening. Here are some pictures of the trip so far. My camera had a little fall yesterday, so unfortunately these are my only pictures of the trip. I will have to borrow the rest from family once we get back. I will hopefully be able to get back and have my camera looked at, fixed or might have to invest in a new one at some point. Until then I am working on letting go, and enjoying the view through my own two eyes.

echo
I took a yoga class last week and my teacher Lisa Flynn read an amazing story. I've searched online and found it on a quote website, with an unknown author. I thought you would enjoy this story.
Echo:
A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" To his surprise, the son hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Curious, he yells: "Who are you?" He receives the answer: "Who are you?" Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!" He receives the answer: "Coward!" He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?" The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention." And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!" The voice answers: "I admire you!" Again the man screams: "You are a champion!" The voice answers: "You are a champion!" The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it." YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!
Such a great story!

late friday favorites
I know it's Saturday and I missed Friday favorites, but here is a late Friday favorites. My week was great and very busy. I am still getting used to the new schedule which is keeping me very busy, this is such an awesome experience so far and I'm only two weeks in. Classes this week were great! I tried kickboxing, bootcamp, new yoga classes and visited the Crossfit gyms again. Casey surprised me last night with tickets to the Phantom of the Opera playing at the Fox Theater here in Atlanta. We ate at Flip burger boutique before the show, which was excellent. We've been living in Atlanta for 4 years now and had never been to the Fox. One of the most beautiful venue's I've ever been too. Thanks Case!

It's my 100th post!
Today is my 100th post on Simply Yogini. It has been a goal of mine to have a blog like this, and I thank you so much for reading, posting comments and giving me inspiration. I'm sorry I've been slacking on the posts lately. I am getting to know my new job and getting used to not being on or near a computer at all times. I am enjoying every minute of it, last week in 6 days I went to - 5 yoga classes, 2 pilates classes, 1 barre body blast class, 1 belly dancing class and 1 crossfit session. Every yoga class was a treat, new teachers, new flows and positions. Pilates was great too. Barre Body Blast was cardio, bootcamp, ballet bar, and free weights. It was a tough but very rewarding class. I had never tried belly dancing before; this was something I was a bit scared to try, but I did. Class started out with learning the basics of belly dancing. After warming up the teacher looked at us and said, "are you ready?". The music started and I followed the teachers dance moves. It was such a good workout, fun and I laughed so much my stomach hurt. I would definitely go to this class again. Now Crossfit, I was scared to death to take this. Casey went with me, along with my lululemon team. I wasn't sure what to expect, was there going to be a rope climb, tire rolling or big muscular men yelling at me? As I walked in, I saw a rope climb, tires and a big muscular man standing in front of an old car garage. I was scared! We warmed up, he explained what Crossfit is and we started on our workout. This was one of the hardest workouts last week, but I would have to say one of my favorites. The trainers don't yell, they encouraged me and told me I was doing a good job. They told me to do what I can and complete the range of motion not the sets. Don't quit, just do what you can do. I walked out of there with an amazing attitude, my body felt great and I was happy I accomplished two rounds. So my first week at lululemon was amazing. I am working hard, learning a lot and I'm not stressed :)
I am working on finding the balance between work and blogging. My schedule is a bit different now, I'm hoping by next week I'll have blogging scheduled into my calendar :)
~Have a great day!
